14th biannual workshop and 10 year celebration

The Pan European Academy for Interprofessional Science convened between the 18th and 21st May 2026 for its 14th biannual meeting, bringing together the Academy’s leadership with participation from key contributors to mark a defining moment in the journey of our book project Building Bridges: A European Perspective on Interprofessional Education, Practice, Policy and Research.

The headline news: the book is complete! Submitted and ready, Building Bridges now has a confirmed publication date of 16 June 2026 – a milestone that was both celebrated and savoured. Details and preorders available from: Building Bridges: A European Perspective on Interprofessional Education, Practice, Policy and Research | Springer Nature Link

To mark this achievement, and to coincide with the Academy’s 10th anniversary, we are planning a dedicated launch webinar, bringing together contributors and the wider interprofessional science community in celebration.

Date & time: 16 June 2026, 12:30pm CEST

Beyond the book itself, the meeting was an opportunity to look ahead. Colleagues discussed a comprehensive dissemination plan to maximise the book’s reach and impact across Europe, as well as the exciting potential to sustain and grow the vibrant network of contributors that Building Bridges has helped bring together. The Academy also agreed on an 18-month work plan centred on its core vision: strengthening interprofessional science across the European region through research activity, publications, and capacity building.

Looking further ahead, the 360° Winterthur Symposium on 13th and 14th November 2026 promises another opportunity to celebrate the book and reunite contributors who are able to attend; a fitting occasion to reflect on how far this collective endeavour has come.

There is much to look forward to. To every contributor who has been part of this journey, we THANK YOU. Your commitment, expertise, and collaboration have been invaluable, and the Academy remains firmly dedicated to continuing to work with and support you as our next chapter unfolds.

Stay tuned for updates on the launch webinar and further developments. In the meantime, share your comments below and subscribe for news!
